You’re standing with a drink, mid-conversation, and a guy joins your group. A minute later you’re holding a deck of cards, and thirty seconds after that you’re making a noise you’ll be slightly embarrassed about.
That’s strolling magic. Shawn works a room a few people at a time, moving from cluster to cluster, spending a few minutes with each group before moving on. There’s no announcement, no stage, no dimming of lights, and nothing anyone has to stop doing. It runs alongside your event instead of interrupting it.
By the end of the night, most of the room has seen something — and, more usefully, most of the room has talked to each other about it.
